That CNN has not covered other rallies, would suggest that the decision to do so at this one was made by someone in the know, someone who knew what was going to take place. A lowly program director at CNN likely wouldn't have had that foreknowledge; rather it would more likely have been someone at the higher echelons of CNN, or even someone outside the organization. Their objectives would likely have been strategic and geared towards having a long-term impact beyond any immediate audience response. Those that control corporations like CNN are unlikely to be primarily focused on the company's viewership, but rather more likely, in this case, on how it could influence downstream events, the coming election being only one. The question would then become which events and what were their desired outcome.
And how about getting to the root of the problem and getting the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US by taking the 10 Million Patriot Challenge at PreventGenocide2030.org!

I don't know if Trump's survival was part of the plan, but nothing in the Organ reactions has given me the impression that it was a lone wolf attempt. More like amateurs were plotting and they had no good contingency plan. So they are reacting, badly.
