Although the idea of 15-minute cities is nothing new, I still fail to see how they can be implemented lawfully without violating The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms here in Canada (or whatever represents the constitution in other jurisdictions)—and likely on multiple fronts? If anything is ultra vires, surely 15-minute cities would be. What, therefore, would the procedure be for having a judicial review conducted on any such implement plans? Does anyone else have any other suggestions how we might tackle this problem? (We are all so busy trying to "wake up everyone" that it is easy to forget that even if 100% of the population becomes fully "awake" (whatever that means) our problems are still going to remain—they won't solve themselves automatically just because everyone is awake—it might only make solutions somewhat easier to implement if everyone is awake.)

My theory is the whole thing is a prison without criminal charge, without trial, lawyer and jury, without judgment, appeal, or sentence. That the entire thing violates the Rule of Law.

2nd since it is a March following several globalist municipal organizations they don't get a democratic mandate. Therefore it is treason individually.

OK, but what can we do about it? It's all well and good to characterize a problem, but we need to find a solution to it. Assuming you are (based on your username) a lawyer, would you consider judicial review appropriate, and if so, how can it be implemented?

Law suit for mal feasible in office.

Class action for treason? Never done.

Law suit for transferring the system to communism without the will of the people.

For subverting private property ownership, maybe that is theft.

I am throwing mud at the wall. Malfeasance

This discussion might now be entirely moot, based on what appears to be planned for the UN's "Summit of the Future," occurring this September 20th to 23rd. While I haven't had time to investigate it in any detail, it appears that the summit might be intended as the starting point of the globalist's draconian "one-world government." If that proves accurate, then if the summit's goals are achieved, its resolutions will almost certainly supersede any conflicting statutes of the signatory countries; this would make discussions of domestic CBDCs, 15-minute cities, the pandemic treaty, social credit scores, 5G surveillance, etc. somewhat, if not entirely, irrelevant because they would be all implemented according to the summit's directives. A search on the summit name will get you to the website; I would encourage everyone to research this.

Different types of litigation can and should be taken. It is unprecedented.

1. See a criminal lawyer about the idea this sets up a prison without due charge:

2. See a constitutional lawyer about the idea that this violates s.52 of the charter.

3. See a class action lawyer for charter litigation on the rights violated, for declaration void, striking and for damages.

4. See a litigator for an injunction.

5. See a privacy lawyer to file complaints,

6. Take meetings and write premieres regarding the view this is unreasonable

7. Protest and concrete steps with mailouts, booths door knocking to quickly let people know systematically

Can judicial review can be triggered to stop a bill from becoming law, or is it just a mechanism that can be used only after a bill has passed into law? (It would be convenient if there was a means of stopping the bill—and others that come after it—from ever seeing the light of day.)

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms — like the Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution — was abrogated on or around March 13, 2020 when a national “Pandemic Emergency” Declaration was signed.

It was my understanding that it was only suspended as it pertained to the pandemic itself, not outright—either way, it would seem to me that decision ALSO requires judicial review.

Hello. The link listing the cities included would not open for me. I’m pretty sure my city is one of them.

The issue of travel restrictions was raised in Edmonton when discussing the 15 minute city. the city counsel reassured the people there would be no travel restrictions. The city will be divided into districts and again no travel restrictions.

When have they ever lied.

Expand full comment

True, when the city was having these hearings on rezoning, having the city divided into distircts etc. the people made their concerns loud and clear about travel restriction. City counsel came back said there would no travel restriction...so I guess we will see what happens. If city counsel rescinds on this I believe people will raise hell. Edmonton is not considered a C40 city. Although Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver have signed up to be a C40. Anyway in terms of Edmonton where reside I know a good number of the population will be watching...(excuse my ramblings...

If this evil continues the one’s who will really suffer the most are the children. They won’t have known the way it was before like the older generations that came before them. Parents teach your children and inform them of the truth. They need to be aware and prepared to confront this evil because evil never sleeps.
