I remember seeing a patent early on in 2020/2021 that detailed an ACTIVE RFID chip that got it's power, not from a battery, but from the electricity that the human body naturally produces. We already each have our own frequency.
And then there's this patent belonging to Microsoft, granted in March 2020, aptly numbered WP2020060606 (WO - means it's a World patent; 2020 is obviously the year granted; 060606 patent number). Speculatively, I'd say this could be how one obtains cryptocurrency payment for basic income in the (near) future. What else could this be for?
