It is my understanding that the law that held journalists to account here in Canada was conveniently repealed in 2019.

In 2019 Fake news was removed from the criminal code of Canada:

Marginal note: Spreading false news

181 Every one who wilfully publishes a statement, tale or news that he knows is false and that causes or is likely to cause injury or mischief to a public interest is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.

R.S., c. C-34, s. 177Criminal Code

Version of section 181 from 2003-01-01 to 2019-06-20:

False news was no longer a criminal offense as of June of 2019.

We know who will be first charged with this. It won’t be those who serve the agenda.

But it might work out in the end.

I will commence all of my commentary with my new disclaimer: " The views expressed here are not necessarily the views of this sender or in more generalised terms I may be asking for or expressing the views of, a friend(s)." That is all.

Also if a Public Health Officer posts something on Twitter that is false and they knew it was at the time. And they knew it would cause harm…I think they or any politician can be charged.

Great article, Lisa.

As with the Plandemonium, this seems to be in Lockstep across the Five Eyes.

Not sure about Canada and New Zealand, I think they were lost some time ago - with their Ministry of Truth or an Emergency Edict intended for literal terrorists that was used against those...donating to truckers.

Down in Australia we have functionally the same attack as the UK/USA;

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2023/nov/13/labor-misinformation-bill-objections-freedom-of-speech-religious-freedom

https://humanrights.gov.au/about/news/opinions/why-misinformation-bill-risks-freedoms-it-aims-protect

With typical Australian misdirection they are aiming at the 'Big Tech' providers. Such an aimpoint will have the same impact but it will mean it slips through with less concern from the masses, leveraging the inherent hatred towards 'Big Tech' from most people with more than 2 functioning brain cells.

Besides, 'Big Tech' proved just how good they are at 'just following orders'. The zeal with which they went after thoughtcrime content, based on illegal orders from the DC Sewer during the Plandemonium was eye watering. I am sure they will apply similar zeal here.

Nonetheless, that key divide that you have highlighted - making deliberate deception perfectly legal for government and their propaganda arms while making it illegal for everyone else - is baked in.

If one was to look deeper, as with the insane 'pandemic plans' that were somehow magiked in place of the real ones int eh ~2019 era, I am sure there is some supra-national seed for this latest assault. Since they 'control the science' I am sure they feel perfectly entitled to control the conversations...

Sometimes I wish they would just literally call it a Ministry of Truth, and get it over with. They are hiding just enough to keep the sleeping masses asleep.

Peace.

We are going to be voting our dictator Trudeau and his Liberal party out of office, just a matter of when, as his popularity has plummeted in the polls and he is now facing a No Confidence vote in parliament which can’t force him out but sure doesn’t look good for him! Once he’s out 🤞Canadians are putting their faith in our Conservative Party whose new leader is opposing all of the new censorship laws Trudeau is putting in place. Pray for us.🙏

On the positive side if someone goes to court their defense will be that they didn’t believe what they said was wrong, or would cause harm. They would then get a chance to argue their case openly.

Unfortunately, the beast won’t be disposed of until the end of the Tribulation period when Christ returns! The beast I am referring to is the antichrist, who will be the world ruler during the second half of the Tribulation period.
