Great piece today in David's substack. Touches on California but is no less true than for Canada where the arbitrary mandates for EV adoption have been made by the NDP-Liberal-neo-marxists.

I was speaking with someone in the auto sector yesterday. Guess what Canadian feds plan for failure to meet their draconian EV adoption. MASSIVE 20K INCREASES on ICE auto vehicles.

When does that happen? well for Canada 2026 is the first arbitrary date for 20% adoption of EV. I made a bet that 2025 EV adoption would decrease.

I figure the only way for the auto-sector to survive, is to buy their own EVs, so they can still sell their ICE vehicles at reasonable rates. Right. when government is in charge of the economy instead of the free market AND simultaneously they are trying to personally profit from it.

So a grid on solar dark in the night and in winter pushes nothing. with mandatory increasing reliance on it for EV and heat pumps. Can we take Judicial notice, or substack notice, that vast amounts of Canada have tundra winter conditions from TIME TO TIME. And it is the cold that has the worst consequences to individuals, their families, and homes?

factors I think will affect EV adoption.

1. EV bus failures and fiascos the world over;

2. grid instability;

3. kill switches for speech- a thing? well paypal wanted it, same crew after all;

4. as censorship increases to GLOBAL BOILING, the response is through the pocket book, and EV (and heat pump) is the easiest fuck you of all.

5. the squeeze on the middle class is such that they cannot absorb big ticket purchases;

6. most of the Right is beginning to understand that the transnational tropes of the vid, the WHO and Climate alarmists have the same backers and the same decimation of the nation state. If they work together they can use their collective power and purchasing power to spread the word;

7. It is not a sex symbol to collaborate with China; sorry tesla.

8. more understand that purchasing is enabling the Marxists.

9. Collaborating with China- the world power in opposition to the US making out like absolute bandits under every single international instrument or collection of power.

   

10. mining for Lithium is slavery. How does that work their virtue signalling DEI.

11. insurance costs- will the insurance market save us from the government imposed market;

12. costs to replace the battery;

13. If hertz is any indications, the increasing costs for repairs;

14. the statistical likelihood of more Lithium - moisture thermal runaway fires;

15. wait until they happen in a condo building or workplace and ruin the entire structure or crossing a bridge;

16. knowledge of the crime of climate alarmism;

Add in the in the cold what do you need heat, while wanting to take away nat gas and fossil fuels. It all ads up the HELL IN A HANDBASKET. enough collaborator marxist decimation of the west. their utopia sparkles, unicorns and pixie dust are just splashy smoke and mirrors to distract, feeding us just one more crumb to lull us along. who makes out like a bandit in this equation.

OIL and GAS you need to dig into the 2030 UN sustainable goals. But you knew that. But did you know 'HATE' censorship is now being massaged to include climate, and even criticism of the solutions of climate.

The power is on the march and its not electrons through grids. Its marxism through the WHO Pandemic treaty and the International Health Amendments, coming for meat, dairy, fuel, speech, home ownership, essentially liberty and security of the person.
