LION ALERT Best municipal freedom campaign. This man is in Australia but pay heed and copy his platform
LIONS GET IN THERE
Lion's roar! Want to get into politics. How about learning from this LION!
I’m running for elected office… again!
Nation First promotes George Christensen's bid for local government.
Dear friend,
Today, I announced that I would be standing as a candidate in the Mackay Regional Council election, which will be held on Saturday, 16 March.
I’m announcing my candidacy for the Mackay Regional Council election on 16 March.
Sadly, there are pervasive globalist agendas within local government, especially through the adoption of initiatives like Agenda 2030, which erode local autonomy and freedoms.
An example of such an initiative is the 15 Minute City concept, an idea being pursued by many local councils that restricts personal liberties and freedom of movement.
I am determined to fight back against the globalist encroachment into local politics.
I’m standing as part of the Mackay First team. You can support the team with details for donations found at the end of this email.
After over a decade in federal politics, nominating to be a local government councillor may seem like a strange thing to do.
But, as they say, all politics is local.
In fact, the globalist elite knows that all too well.
Over many, many years, the tentacles of internationalist outfits like the United Nations (UN) and the World Bank have wrapped their way around local governments and city councils the world over, in an attempt to circumvent democratically-elected national governments, and implement their unpalatable schemes.
Take, for instance, Agenda 2030, a successor to Agenda 21.
The UN has dedicated programs encouraging city councils to implement on-the-ground aspects of Agenda 2030, and mayors, city councillors and council bureaucrats who get flown around the world (at ratepayers’ expense) to soirées such as the UN’s Local and Regional Governments Forum are only too happy to oblige.
And what they implement are not just benign sustainability goals.
They’re part of a larger scheme to erode our national and local sovereignty, and control how we live our lives.
Through these measures, the globalists seek to dictate everything — where we can go, how we get there, controlling our very movements in the name of ‘sustainability’ and ‘efficiency.’
You only have to look at the 15 Minute City concept.
This idea, now touted by many councils as the way forward, practically limits our right to travel freely under the pretext of convenience and sustainability.
The 15 Minute City idea is pushed by the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) now known as Local Governments for Sustainability.
This globalist outfit influences over 1,750 local and regional governments across 100 countries, integrating United Nations agendas into local by-laws, regulations, and town plans.
It gets worse.
Brisbane City Council recently advertised for tenders to set up an ‘offence detection system’.
This seems like something straight out of the dystopian science fiction movie ‘Demolition Man’ where a machine records and fines someone instantaneously for minor infringements, like swearing.
I’m stepping into this fight because someone needs to stand up and say ‘Enough is enough!’
I won’t just roll over and let globalist agendas bulldoze local values and freedoms.
It’s time that politics — at the council level — was truly local, and not part of some globalist agenda.
I’m running for council as part of a ticket — Mackay First — made up of council candidates who are very independent thinkers and very civic-minded.
The Mayoral candidate running for the team is former rugby league great Steve ‘Jacko’ Jackson, a Mackay local who’s run a local small business for decades, giving hundreds of local youngsters their headstart in the workforce.
Some of the candidates running on our ticket have small business experience, some have been community volunteers, while others have been part of the political process before, having run for state and federal elections representing One Nation, Katter’s Australia Party and Family First.
Due to campaign finance rules, I’m playing it extra safe and have paused paid subscriptions to Nation First until the election is over.

And for all of those wondering what this means for Nation First… I’m pleased to tell you I will still be publishing this newsletter with gusto after Saturday, 16 March!
From now until then, the number of editions will be reduced and, as has been already mentioned, paid subscriptions have been paused (which means turned off) for two reasons:
To extend the subscription timeframe for paid subscribers during this lull period; and
To ensure that no one can suggest I’m receiving illegal donations through this newsletter.
I’m sure the haters will try and get me any way they can and this is just one way I can block them from doing so.
I thank you for your support.
Until next time, God bless you, your family and nation.
Take care,
George Christensen

Thank you for sharing. This is a very good and honest approach to elections. I wish more people would be willing to do this. Dorothy
A very brave and courageous man!
