It seems like we are experiencing some unsettling times that resemble the dark periods of history such as Nazi Germany or even the East German Stasi era.

It's worth noting that the Germans developed advanced methods of monitoring their citizens, and Obama's administration went even further by allowing the US government to spy on its people and use propaganda against them.
